Sophie is 2

On Thursday 26th June Sophie celebrated her second birthday and she had a ball. There was a party at Jumping Jacks play area with many of her little friends, her grans, uncle Alex and aunt Amanda. She got lots of lovely gifts and had great fun on the climbing frames and shutes. Alex and Amanda had lots of fun as well. A couple of pictures from the great day.

Get together with the family

Well, Sophie's Great Aunt Moira (Moi) and Great Uncle Albert (Mine) left today to drive south to London to fly back to Western Australia. Before they set out Sophie had lunch with them and all of her grand parents. She got her first present for her 2^nd birthday next Thursday. We took some pictures to mark the occasion but Sophie wasn't very cooperative.

Back from holiday

We saw the Bramwell family on Tuesday evening, fresh back from Turkey, all exhausted.
Sophie is showing her gran a new book in the picture, she was the liveliest of them all. Sophies mum & dad were badly bittent by the mozzies but fortunately they seemed to leave Sophie alone.

Latest on the Turkish holiday

Sophie had a ball according to her mum. She was in the swimming pool enjoying splashing around and jumping in from the edge all by herself. On the flight back she slept the whole way and arrived back home at 5 in the morning. Hope to have some pictures from the holiday to post soon.

Update to start the blog

Sophie learned to walk when she was about 10 months old and has run us ragged ever since. She is a very loving little girl who gives everyone cuddles and kisses. She used to scoot around in her baby walker before she walked, but as soon as she learned to walk the baby walker was abandoned. In the past year she has amazed us as she starts to talk, she is not only learning words but also sign language. She loves a TV programme where a comic character talks and signs at the same time and Sophie has picked it up and can communicate by a combination of words and signs.

Sophie's Mum & Dad got married on 31st May 2008 and at the moment she is with them on honeymoon in Turkey. She is having a ball seeing unusual things like a camel (she thought it was a horse) and going in the swimming pool with her mum & dad.
